Carolers sing throughout Washingtonville Central School District

Carolers sing throughout Washingtonville Central School District

The Washingtonville High School Chamber Singers sang holiday carols throughout the district on Friday, December 23, 2022.

The choir traveled the floors of the high school and middle school and even made a stop at the district office. Over 20 students make up this choir.

“I really enjoy caroling,” said Paul Carlantone, junior at Washingtonville High School. “I get to do what I love for all my friends and get everyone in the holiday spirit.”

After a couple of years of hiatus due to COVID-19, Choral Director Jeremy Groth led the singers in their annual holiday tradition.

“I’ve never done this before with COVID-19,” said Grace Gorczynski, senior at Washingtonville High School. “I am so happy I am finally able to participate.”

They sang songs like “Deck the Halls,” “Silent Night,” “Festival of Lights” and more.

“It brings joy to the school,” said Maddie Melville, junior at Washingtonville High School.
