Congratulations to the Wizard’s track and field team for their accomplishments at the NYSPHSAA Championships last weekend! Here are the highlights:
The girl’s 4x800 team broke their own school record by over 4 seconds, with a running time of 9:26.51, earning them the 6th place spot on the podium. Lila Sinacori - 2:23.26; Olivia DeCarvalho - 2:21.5; Sydney Lozza - 2:26.86; Alexis Jones- 2:14.9. Amazing job ladies!
Cameron Snyder ran 34.82 in the trials for the boys 300m dash, and then came back in finals with a time of 34.67. This is a 0.01 second PR! Cam placed 5th overall, earning his spot on the podium! Great job Cam!
Gavin Rich ran his personal best in the 1,000m run with a time of 2:34.32. He was 0.7 off the current school record, and improved over 7 seconds within three weeks! Congrats Gavin!
