Mock accident reminds students to be careful while driving

On Thursday, May 25, Washingtonville High School had its annual Mock Accident simulation for the Junior class. The program simulates a motor vehicle accident that is caused by a drunk driver. Students from the Masque and Mime program portrayed the victims in the crash and the local emergency responders participated in the simulation as well.  This program is designed to warn students about the dangers of drunk, impaired and distracted driving. Students were reminded that the decisions they make when behind the wheel can have devastating effects on them as well as others. As prom and graduation season nears, we remind students to be careful, make good decisions and avoid distracted driving.
