"Spike Out Cancer" event raises $1,000

On Wednesday, March 3, 2023, the Wizards Against Cancer Club hosted the "Spike Out Cancer" fundraiser at the high school. The girl's volleyball team played against the boy's football team in three games of volleyball. The event raised $1,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

“Spike Out Cancer was a success, as everyone who came had a great time and we raised money for a great cause,” said Nina Giordani, club advisor. “We chose St. Jude Children's Research Hospital because no child is denied treatment based on race, religion, or family's ability to pay. Unlike other hospitals, the majority of their funding comes from individual contributions.”

“Remember no one fights alone,” she added.
