On June 14, 2021, Washingtonville High School held its annual JROTC Awards ceremony. The awards ceremony was hosted by the Magic Battalion and led by Col. Brockway. Cadets were honored for their service and achievement during the 2020-2021 school year.
In his remarks, Col. Brockway stated how proud he was of these cadets, who demonstrated resilience during a very difficult year. Col. Brockway and his battalion are to be commended for their ability to maintain the same high standards that have made the Washingtonville High School JROTC one of the best programs in the area.
At the ceremony, our WHS JROTC Battalion commander Angelica Tripodianos was awarded a full ROTC scholarship from Penn State University. This is an amazing accomplishment, which speaks to her dedication to the JROTC program and her excellence in the classroom.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, Steven Tripodianos was promoted to Battalion Commander for the 2021-2022 school year.
Congratulations to all of the cadets on a job well done!
