WHS Music Production and Engineering class create Greatest Hits Album

The Music Production and Engineering class, taught by Jeremy Groth, at Washingtonville High School, created a Greatest Hits album made up of different compositions from each student, demonstrating the skills they have learned to produce and engineer music.

At the beginning of the year, students got an introduction to creating music by mixing songs using a premade loop from a Digital Audio Workstation. As the year progressed, they began to experiment with making their own loops and tracks by recording live instruments and inputting their own notes and sounds digitally.

At the end of the year, students took all of the skills they learned to create one body of work that featured samples of songs from various projects throughout the year. The album contains a variety of styles and forms, showcasing the talent and creativity of the students.

Please check out their music at the link here, which features a condensed version of their Greatest Hits album.
