Congratulations to WHS seniors Kiera Calovic and Joel Trocino who were recently awarded at The Scholar Athlete Awards held on Thursday, June 6, at the Otterkill Country Club.
The Scholar Athlete Award ceremony honors two students from each school in the OCIAA. Students who are selected must excel in the classroom and in Athletics. Joel Torcino and Kiera Calovic were nominated to represent Washingtonville.
Kiera Calovic is ranked number two in the class. At WHS she has earned varsity letters in soccer, flag football, and golf. She will be attending SUNY Geneseo in the fall
Joel Trocino is ranked number seven in the class. Joel was a standout football player and the team captain. He also participated in track and lacrosse and will be attending the University of Florida in the fall.
