Class of 2022 - Winter Formal Announcement

Class of 2022 - Winter Formal Announcement

Dear Class of 2022 and Parents/Guardians,

Following last year's cancellation of the Junior Prom, we have been planning (with the Class of 2022 class officers and advisors) to ensure an event would be created in its place. It has been our hope to continue to provide events that would allow us to celebrate together as a class and community. We are now pleased to announce that we will be holding our first Winter Formal Dance, exclusively for the Class of 2022.

WHEN:

Friday December 17, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
(Snow Date is Sunday December 19, 2021.)

WHERE:

Country Club at Otterkill in Campbell Hall

To ensure a comfortable and safe environment for our seniors to celebrate their class, a number of precautions will be put in place:
  1. Tickets to the Winter Formal will be made available to Washingtonville High School senior students ONLY. Unlike our traditional Junior Prom event, WHS underclassmen or outside guests will not be permitted to attend.
  2. Students must arrive at the venue no later than 7 p.m. or they will not be allowed to enter.
  3. We will be following all health protocols to ensure the health and safety of all members of our school community, and as such masking will be mandatory for all attendees. We will continue to monitor all health protocols and updates as they are shared by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) and the New York State Education Department (NYSED), as well as the Orange County Department of Health.

Over the next week, class advisors will be providing additional information and details about the event and how to purchase tickets. In June, we will be holding our traditional senior banquet for the Class of 2022. For this event we hope to be able to allow our seniors to invite guests from other schools and grade levels.

We’d like to thank the Class of 2022 officers and advisors for their hard work and dedication to their class.

Thank you,

Brian Connolly, Principal
Robert Leonard, Assistant Principal
