Washingtonville High School celebrates senior scholarship winners

Washingtonville High School recognized the outstanding accomplishments of members of the Class of 2026 during its annual Senior Awards Ceremony, an evening dedicated to honoring students who have distinguished themselves through academic achievement, leadership, service, athletics, and perseverance. The Tuesday evening event brought together students, families, faculty, and staff to celebrate the scholarships and awards earned by seniors as they prepare for the next chapter of their educational journeys. 

Principal Robyn Boardman congratulated the honorees and reflected on the hard work that led to their success. She encouraged students to take pride in their accomplishments. Ms. Boardman also praised the Class of 2026 for the example they have set throughout the school community, describing them as leaders in the classroom, on athletic fields, on the stage, and in service to others. 

“The awards and scholarships being recognized this evening are impressive, but what stands out even more is everything behind them, the effort, the discipline, the sacrifices, and the determination it took to earn them. These accomplishments did not happen overnight; they are the result of years of hard work, growth, and a willingness to keep pushing forward even when things became challenging.”

She said the students have helped define what it means to be part of “Wizard Nation” through their support of one another and their commitment to being their best every day.

Ms. Boardman also acknowledged the families, teachers, counselors, and staff members who have supported students throughout their educational journeys, emphasizing that success is never achieved alone.
